Clip Review
The review programs are designed to aid you in identifying your strengths and weaknesses and develop a strong focus on how to proceed. This is the exact same process that we use day in and day out within our cinema team and it is exactly what has created the level of production value and depth that you see in our films. These review programs are perfect for those who can't make it out to a StillMotion experience.
We ask that you send us your favorite highlights, same-day edit, or demo reel (up to 5 minutes in length). We will review the piece several times, deconstruct the different elements, and schedule a phone chat to discuss. All clip reviews will also come with a detailed feedback form via email.
Here are some of the facets we will explore in our reviews; shooting techniques, composition, emotional depth, color, sequencing, storytelling, audio quality, overall impact, and the utility of techniques and shot placement. An overview will include insights into what we see as key strengths and key weaknesses. Not only do we want to effectively communicate what we see, but we also want to foster an understanding of why it is important.
Our hope is that even a single review will offer great insight into where your at and the small steps you can take to make a drastic increase in impact and production value. In most cases, working with the same footage in a different way is more than enough to take it to the next level.
A single clip review requires an investment of $250 CDN.
Portfolio Review
The portfolio review builds on the idea of a clip review. Rather than looking at a single piece, we will review a handful of clips (anything from a highlights and main feature, to a completed DVD) and our feedback will be based on generalities we see across your work. A single clip review cannot account for the variations in the couple, their package with you, locations, weather, and your daily variations in performance. If your looking at your marketing plan for the upcoming year, considering which investments to make, or really not sure which direction to take than the portfolio review is the perfect way to getter a better perspective on where you stand as a whole while looking past those subtle variations from shoot to shoot.
The portfolio will involve our entire cinema team to ensure your getting a diversity of perspectives. Each clip will receive a detailed feedback form via email, as well as a more general feedback form on where we see your studio as a whole. We will schedule a phone call with our entire cinema team to discuss our thoughts, answer any questions you may have. Not only do we want to effectively communicate what we see, but we also want to foster an understanding of why it is important.
A portfolio review requires an investment of $990 CDN.
Mentoring Program
This is our premiere 'interact' option for those truly dedicated to pushing their craft as far as possible. It combines the evolution experience, either in studio or in a private setting, with a 12 month tracking program. We will review all of your marketing materials, discuss your demographics and branding, and do a thorough review of your entire portfolio. This program is designed to identify where your at and take you to where you want to be, all in a very short period of time. We will be limiting the mentorship program to 3 spots per year and have 2 remaining for this year.
We will work with you to determine a set of priorities moving forward and implement a system to monitor their progress. We will schedule monthly phone calls and clip reviews. This is a very personal and intense endeavor. So much so that we limit it to three individuals per year.
The investment in the program requires a 12 month commitment. Registration includes weekly phone calls and an intense portfolio, marketing, and branding review all in the first month. Every month after that includes progress tracking, reevaluating goals, and detailed feedback all via email and monthly phone calls. We will also be including the opportunity to shoot a wedding with us to really give that in the field training. This may be in the Toronto area or during one of our remote weddings that may be closer to you.
Registration into this program also includes enrollment for one person into the evolution experience in studio. If your looking at enrolling in this program for multiple people in your studio, we do offer special registration for that so that everybody can be a part of the evolution experience. We also offer the mentoring program with a private workshop for you or your studio as opposed to coming to the evolution experience in studio.
In studio enrollment for 12 months including the evolution experience is $850 per month. Private enrollment for 12 months including a private workshop is $1250 per month.
