over the years we have been fortunate enough to shoot weddings from japan to london, as well as work for commercial clients such as the Apple, Canon, Callaway, NFL, IBM, and Tiffen. we believe that a list of accolades tells you much less about what we offer than the impact that our films have on you can. to that end, we decided to forgo that list and instead direct you to our cinema gallery, our website, or our blog. this is the place to find all of the educational events that we will be hosting or be a part of.

the evolution experience was designed with two main goals in mind.

// to foster a better understanding of the art of filmmaking.
this is accomplished through the exploration of the core elements of cinematogaphy (light, color, composition, etc) as well as the post process (workflow, storytelling). as we all better understand the art of filmmaking, we can make more educated decisions in all of our films which ultimately gives us more control on what they will impart upon their audience.

the evo experience is a mixture of classroom style discussion as well as hand on training, shooting, editing, and sharing. by having the short films created at evo edited during evo, it gives you access to the SM team to ask questions as you go, get feedback as your piece comes together, and share your finished film with the class.

evo is designed for filmmakers of all skill levels. we offer extra hours basic instruction for those just beginning and the course itself is taught at an advanced level and quick pace. we only ask that you be passionate about what you do and be excited to learn, share, and grow.

in 2011 we will be offering an evolution experience in both toronto and california.

april 4th-7th // toronto
november 14th-17th // san francisco

we are asking 3300 CDN per person for the toronto experience which includes all meals and shared hotel accommodation. this is our premier experience hosted at our new toronto studio complete with a 35' screen!

for the california experience we are asking 2500 USD per person including all meals for the duration of the workshop. we will be recommending a hotel nearby and arranging for a group rate. the course material will be the same as that of the toronto workshop and the experience will be hosted at our new san francisco studio.
